Is it another Borat movie?

Bradley/ Chelsea Mannings was sentenced to 35 years in jail. The young person have done what each one of us have probably dreamt of doing this way or that, this age or that. To be on the brighter side of humanity and larger than own self- a Super man or woman, a Robin Hood of the time. The young soldier have done that, only for that he deserves the medal of humanity; he have done the right thing to do from the point of view of democracy and enlightenment. The army might not agree with that but then the army, any army, is not about democracy or enlightenment. A separation of the army from the civil world was needed in the same way that religion had to be separated from the state. The army, as well as religion, are placed under the constitution and civil laws in any democratic society.
Yet, the U.S. army seems to guide the whole country in this recent quest and witch hunt of various Antigones. Whistle blowers and traitors and other such names are attached to people that a civil liberal society will crowned as the heros of democracy, and later days will probably still call them that. From any army point of view the 'crime' is deserving the punishment, but then who is the boss in the U.S.A.- is it the army or is it the civil law---If the army wants to deter other soldiers from performing such an act is should not make an example out of a soldier but just refrain from doing acts that are forbidden by the civil law. Those now days Antigones, and there are a few of them, are rotting in jails and others are still sought, pursued and hunted down. The dark side in these stories is not the people that are put behind bars or hiding somewhere in the world but the organizations and governments pursuing them with such a zeal.
This lost of power by the army over free thinking soldiers and citizens is leading the Army and the government to a cheap power game with a theme of witch hunting. We all want to keep democracy alive and we all want to live in a terror free and peaceful society. The army might be a tool that can help achieve such a state but history have taught us already that the army should definitely stay out of the civil world. And I am talking about the present day situation and not of the idea of army free societies.
Already the story have turned into a cheap Hollywood comedy with one hero hiding in an Embassy, one hero have been on trial and is actually not a man but a woman (And I'm all for that if thats what the person wants) and made a hormone treatment request to the army, one hero was playing hide and seek in an international airport with a government for long, one Brazilian boy friend of another hero is arrested in another airport embarrassing episode, one government is destroying computers for no actual reason but 'you have had your fun, its enough', one presidential airplane is also involved in another silly happening and thats only what I've picked up.
One would think its another 'BORAT' movie. Maybe Mr. Cohen, Sasha, Baron will pick up the glove and entertain us with this recent goose chase and witch hunt.
