fashion and magazines and then some wondering

Went to the hairdresser and as usual, leafed through the fashion magazines pile. I've notice that my leafing today was quick, one magazine, then another, a third one and in barely no time, a fourth, a fifth. So I've stopped to think and found myself  involved in self talking: it seems dear that nothing is right with you, your eye lashes are not, your skin is not, your nails are not, your hair is not, your bag, your shoes, your clothes, not, not, not, and your legs are not long enough, and you are not tanned enough or white enough, and your weight is not, and your food is not and your lipstick is not and, and----

You are just not defined enough or futuristic enough or soft enough or enough of an object, is short

And then I moved to the kiss as it seem a very trendy thing to do as an object these days in magazines, and I looked at it and asked my self if this a kiss worth kissing at all as hands are not empty and knees are not melting, and instead a bag is held high tightly or a shoe is raised in great calculation. And I think a kiss as such should be terminated at the spot when any kiss is involved as it doesn't seems worthwhile to kiss at all,  and i won't even speak of the three days wait until  the guy will grow a male-male like hair on his face as that seems as a complete waste of the time that can be used for a good kiss.

Where are those fashion magazines going with this Cxxx, i've actually kept asking myself---

the models and the actresses, even they are not themselves in those photos but a photoshop version of themselves, no brand what so ever that can't buy its way through into those pages is not presented, instead of fashion i have looked at money bought commercials in all ways possible- photo shoots, plain advertisements, seemingly content articles things and so on.

Let me confess- I love fashion, i think its creative and powerful yet my hair is not 'it', my skin is not 'it', my clothes are not 'it', my bag is not 'it', my shoes are not 'it', my food is not 'it', my legs are not 'it', my body is not 'it', my hair is not 'it', my nails are not 'it', my drinks are not 'it',  my kiss is not 'it' and, even my beautiful car doesn't seems to be it as its not sparkly nor clean enough, and on and on the list goes and still i happen to surprisingly live (surprise indeed!!) and even come back to tell that that i am not a photo shop automated version of a fashion magazine's money bought editor or director's whatever industry mind.
Or if i'll say it in plain fashion- I love fashion but in those glossy seemingly perfect magazines i don't happen to find any fashion at all.

p.s. Not long ago, at the hair dresser's I saw a whole campaign in one of the magazines about Organic Hair, page after page after page it went on and I was clueless.  I've asked the hair dresser then what is organic hair. He looked at me and was quiet for a while, went on with the hair cut, was quiet some more and then said- I have no idea at all, and a good answer was that.

Fashion, for me its about projecting my inner feel and mood, about enhancing myself, fashion is life itself walking the streets, my heart beating, the movements i make, the expression of my body and face, and every morning when dressing up i will ask myself- is this right, is this the mood.
Those magazines I saw today were about creating a dream world that even the models and actors/actresses that are shown in them can not enter. It might all be another religion, a dead zone perhaps it is but the beating of the heart it is not.

Is it another Borat movie?

Bradley/ Chelsea Mannings was sentenced to 35 years in jail. The young person have done what each one of us have probably dreamt of doing this way or that, this age or that. To be on the brighter side of humanity and larger than own self- a Super man or woman, a Robin Hood of the time. The young soldier have done that, only for that he deserves the medal of humanity; he have done the right thing to do from the point of view of democracy and enlightenment. The army might not agree with that but then the army, any army, is not about democracy or enlightenment. A separation of the army from the civil world was needed in the same way that religion had to be separated from the state. The army, as well as religion, are placed under the constitution and civil laws in any democratic society.
Yet, the U.S. army seems to guide the whole country in this recent quest and witch hunt of various Antigones. Whistle blowers and traitors and other such names are attached to people that a civil liberal society will crowned as the heros of democracy, and later days will probably still call them that. From any army point of view the 'crime' is deserving the punishment, but then who is the boss in the U.S.A.- is it the army or is it the civil law---If the army wants to deter other soldiers from performing such an act is should not make an example out of a soldier but just refrain from doing acts that are forbidden by the civil law. Those now days Antigones, and there are a few of them, are rotting in jails and others are still sought, pursued and hunted down. The dark side in these stories is not the people that are put behind bars or hiding somewhere in the world but the organizations and governments pursuing them with such a zeal.
This lost of power by the army over free thinking soldiers and citizens is leading the Army and the government to a cheap power game with a theme of witch hunting. We all want to keep democracy alive and we all want to live in a terror free and peaceful society. The army might be a tool that can help achieve such a state but history have taught us already that the army should definitely stay out of the civil world. And I am talking about the present day situation and not of the idea of army free societies.
Already the story have turned into a cheap Hollywood comedy with one hero hiding in an Embassy, one hero have been on trial and is actually not a man but a woman (And I'm all for that if thats what the person wants) and made a hormone treatment request to the army, one hero was playing hide and seek in an international airport with a government for long, one Brazilian boy friend of another hero is arrested in another airport embarrassing episode, one government is destroying computers for no actual reason but 'you have had your fun, its enough', one presidential airplane is also involved in another silly happening and thats only what I've picked up.
One would think its another 'BORAT' movie. Maybe Mr. Cohen, Sasha, Baron will pick up the glove and entertain us with this recent goose chase and witch hunt.

the dog, the cat & Antigone

The news. A new dog in the white house. ...what can one say?
I can probably say it like this- I hope the dog have lots of good times, it definitely seems there is lots of space to run around.
Or what about- I offer to donate our neighborhood's bully cat to the White House as well. No donation required at all in return. An arranged pick up will be good enough. Now, this will be an act of kindness and generosity to all the cats in this area. They will actually be able to go out freely again and play. Or nap.
The stray cat have really turned into a moral question- what to do with this bully? and yet, whatever it have done we don't feel as calling the authorities and putting it to sleep as that is in most probability what will happens. The latest idea involves catching it and taking it to live in the mountains (Is it legal at all). Personally I like this plan. Will we be able to catch it and how remained to be seen though. Its hard to believe moving will traumatized the bully cat too much as it already arrived here from some where else not long ago (maybe someone have brought it here), and since then have terrorized all the cats population in the area.
one thing we have learnt for sure, house cats that goes for a stroll or a nap some where are not exactly wild any more. the name of the game is not survival for them, they are all about enjoying all the worlds; food at home and a nap in the sun somewhere, an occasional little animal they catch and sleep on a pillow at home. The stray bully have brought here a different set of rules and is scaring all the cats indoors, either by their own choice or their people's choice. We don't let our cat out anymore and he doesn't like it at all, to say the least, but the wounds and the vet's bills are not a pretty sight.
Is it better to let the sweet home cat out to another probable battle or is it better to keep him safe, and stressed, at home. Is it better to call the city's authorities and have the bully removed, or is it better to try and catch him, either ask concerned organizations to find him a home or just take it to the mountains and back to the wild as apparently the bully cat is not cultured yet.
Having a cat is an individual choice, the problems even having a pet are of the political and moral spheres. It makes me wonder if there is an individual sphere left at all.
And- The white house new dog is definitely political and by the way, as cute as the new dog seems and as much as we are all sure the dog will have a great and free life, he doesn't attract the attention from the bizarre decisions of the white house in regards to human rights and democracy as a whole.
But- There is a new dog running freely and happily on the grass of the white house.
Yet- There is a soldier that was locked up today for many years because he have loved democracy and acted upon it. And that's talking of only one Antigone.
I can definitely recommend to the policy makers to take a break and read the book again.

Singing in the back of my head and a Panda

I am not sure about you, but when I saw an article about Panda and sex, I've entered it without a blink. We've already decided lately that Japan hold the Panda obsession gold medal with last year intercourses of Tokyo's pandas going on air in family prime time t.v..day after day, upon availability of course...Truth is we've had so many laughs from the stories of parents about the kids that have learnt about the sexual intercourse fact of life from the dear pandas on t.v.. (The stories were told by 'lost' parents in search for the remote control and too slow in it. The panda already did the deed. The kid already watched. Explanation had to be given).
And so the article in 'The Independent' began- (link attached in the end)
"For most of us, the idea of having a panda looking on as we try to procreate is unlikely to be a turn-on. But for the male giant panda, this could be what they need. Potentially earth-shaking research suggests that male pandas, famous for their struggles in "shaping up", are much more attentive to females when exposed to the smell of a rival."
And I thought how the writer have got the facts confused already. What the Panda seems to need is a scent and an interested party of another male/s and not an observer. And with that I don't see any real difference between the Panda and the Human's male. I think that to that fact any woman can testify in the court of law- in order to get the attention of the man you like, go and flirt with his friend! The threesome and the jealousy factor are perhaps down to the idea of a scent in instincts language.
'If you don't love her, your best friend will', Sting is singing in the back of my head ( 'Sacred love'). This might be the male perspective, from the female point of view its the inducing, 'using' of that same instinct. It seems we all need a good mixture of male and female scents for love and sex.
The male is not only more interested in a female that other male is also interested in (Is that really earth shuttering news) but in order to really be aroused by a female,  the scent of another male is required as well. Instinct condition orders! It can be said of the female too, a male is always more desirable if that female is envied by the girlfriends.
Its true its all a very simple condition and usually we are advancing some from those raw instincts as time goes by, but as usual we are more connected than we think in our core to our origin. And to the cute Panda too.

also a form of slavery

'The independent' have run a chilling story today of a form of slavery that was not abolished yet- Young girls that are forced by their families to marry at their early teen years.
The different in this story is that those girls are living in the U.K., and most probably holds also a British passport and still they are taken to their parent's countries to a vacation from hell, from which they don't return.
Slavery was abolished in the U.K. long ago (we all want to believe) and still the government is closing the eyes to this type of slavery and rape. Beautifying this type of slavery in cultural colors and differences does not change the fact that British passports holders are sold/given to slavery. Would the government want to fight this disappearing of girls after summer vacation, it can and could! I could only guess that laws as the evoking of citizenships to parents that forced their young girls into forced marriages or any jail sentences, would do the job and stories as such will be an extinct habit. Even a law that forces any girl above ten or twelve to be interviewed by an immigration officer before leaving the country might help. The article mentioning that many girls now insert a metal spoon into their underwear in order to have an interview with an official at the airport that will not let them leave the country.
Continuing to ignore this sort of abuse is staining any liberal country in the red color of the blood those young girls are shedding. It is a crime against humanity and it should be treated as such. Slavery it is and slavery it should be called by any free thinking person. Those girls were raised in the U.K. and attended British schools, they have most probably have already learnt some about the constitution and laws, of the freedom of being a woman, of speech, safe sex, abolishing of slavery and others. And those same girls that already know the difference between sexual relationship and rape are taken to holidays in which they are wed and raped (one of the girls own word) and from which they don't return. Their families return to the U.K. and continue to live their life as if nothing have happened, perhaps even happy as they have wed their daughter, and at thirteen too!! Holding a British passport should mean something to those traditionally most oppressed victims of society.

When Western countries are putting their mind into subjects as Child labour they can make a lot of noise and difference and by that influence cultures that this is their tradition. This is happening in the home garden and still all is quiet. Is it because they are girls, 'just girls?'

The story was about the U.K., even though it is most reasonable that this girls slavery is still performed from other western countries as well.
